A Comet man was left injured after trying to come to the rescue of his landlord, a woman, who was being attacked by robbers in Comet New Married Quarters on November 9.
According to the police report, the woman was awoken by a loud bang as the robbers were breaking the door of her house.
All of a sudden the door was opened and the knife-wielding intruders, two Shangaan speaking balaclava-cladded men, accosted her demanding money.
They searched the house and found R1 000.
She screamed for help and one of her tenant intervened but he was overpowered when the thugs stabbed him in the head. The assailants fled the scene with the cash and an amplifier.
