Woodlands hosts Sprayathon to support the fight against cancer

They managed to raise R1 500 for the fight against cancer.

SRC learners of Woodlands International College recently hosted a Sprayathon during break, in conjunction with Cansa.

There was a huge amount of support from the learners, not only with the spray but with donations from those who didn’t spray their hair.

The Cansa Shavathon is one of South Africa’s best-loved events in support of a very worthy cause, namely showing solidarity with those affected by cancer. Losing one’s hair is a common side-effect of cancer therapy – so shaving your head has become a symbolic gesture of support for cancer survivors.

Colouring your hair have over the years become options for those who prefer not to shave, or who can’t shave on the day.  Click HERE to read more about the Cansa Shavathon.
