Severe thunderstorm anticipated around Ekurhuleni
The City`s Disaster and Emergency Management Services (DEMS) is on high alert and urges residents to be vigilant and to notify emergency services when experiencing any life-threatening eventualities.

South African Weather Services (SAWS) is anticipating a severe thunderstorm accompanied by possible large hail and strong gusty winds in places around Gauteng, including the City of Ekurhuleni later this afternoon (October 10).
According to DEMS spokesperson William Ntladi, all 29 fire stations around the City are ready as always to respond to thunderstorm related emergencies and other emergencies as highlighted and anticipated by SAWS.
