• In Sunward Park, an armed gang of about five men forced their way into a residential house in Albrecht Road and robbed the occupants of the building of their belongings just before midnight on October 4.
According to police reports, the thugs threatened the victims with firearms before stealing valuable items, including two JVC TV sets, a Huawei P10 Lite and Samsung Z2 cellphones, jewellery and shoes.
• A gang of heavily armed thugs invaded a residence in Angelo informal settlement and helped themselves to the victims’ belongings during the small hours of October 4.
Narrating the sequence of events, one of the victims told the police that he was woken up by a neighbour’s piercing scream at about 3.30am and all of a sudden he heard people forcing open his padlocked door.
The assailants entered his shack and aimed guns at him. He was ordered to lie down on the floor as the robbers help themselves to his belongings, including two pairs of Puma and Lacoste sneakers and a cellphone.
The robbers fired two shots as they walked away from the scene, but no one was injured.
