Chain of Hope supports Halo personal tracking device
Halo SOS is a versatile personal tracking device that can be used in emergency situations like a hijacking, burglary or farm attack.
Chain of Hope is now involved with the marketing of the Halo SOS device from Satrac Solutions in order to assist in improving the safety of the community.
The unit is linked to your support network upon signing up to ensure fast response. This network consists of, but is not limited to, Satrac Service Providers, a community network and your own personal network.
When an alarm is triggered, Satrac’s emergency protocol is activated and your situation is monitored and managed by their control centre.
Chain of Hope is a NPO that connects with the community through a range of a community-oriented services.
The main purpose and vision of Chain of Hope are to bring back hope and to help restore dignity to members of society who have been affected by severe economic circumstances.
According to Rosa Herbst from Chain of Hope, there is no price tag you can put on your safety.
“The main objective of the device is to give people the opportunity to get fast and effective response during an emergency. It can be beneficial for instance when two teachers wear the device and press the panic button in a case of emergency,” Rosa explained.
“Unlike other big and bulky tracking devices, the Halo SOS is small and easy to carry. It is disguised as a garage remote and doesn’t look like a panic button.
“The Halo SOS is an independent device unit unlike other emergency buttons that may require a working cell phone with data. The battery power on the Halo device is also magnificent. Help is just a press of a button away.”
She said it is important to keep the device on you and not in a bag, for example. Bags are often stolen. The device is easily concealed and comfortable to keep on a person.
