Boksburg North SAPS arrest caretaker for assaulting a tenant

The following serious crimes were reported to the Boksburg North SAPS:

• A 35-year-old caretaker was arrested on September 14 for allegedly assaulting one his tenants.

According to Boksburg North SAPS spokesperson Const Justice Ramaube, it is alleged the victim was assaulted on September 12 when the caretaker came to collect money for electricity where they stay in Trichardts Road.

The suspect was arrested and detained at the Boksburg North Police Station.

• Also on September 14, the Boksburg North SAPS arrested a 19-year-old man who was in possession of a dangerous weapon, as well as drugs.

• On September 15, a 35-year-old suspect was arrested for assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

This is after the victim (44) was allegedly struck with a beer bottle and sustained injuries.

• A 43-year-old man was arrested for assaulting a 32-year-old man for no apparent reason.

“The victim alleged he was in his room on the phone when the suspect’s wife snatched his phone from his ear. The suspect allegedly came and started assaulting him and he sustained injuries to his mouth,” Ramaube said.

The suspect was arrested on September 15.
