Burglaries
Thieves forced their way into a residential property on Slater Street, Parkrand, and stole a TV set and laptop while the occupants of the house were insides the building on September 11. The complainant, a woman, told police she was awoken by the commotion in the property and pressed a panic button. The security response team arrived and they discovered the thugs forcefully opened the house’s glass door to gain entry.
At Swallows Nest, Parklands Estate, Parkrand, thieves entered a house and stole a TV set, laptop, bag containing personal belongings and make-up on September 11. The victim told police she woke up in the morning to discover that someone forcefully opened the kitchen door to enter the residence.
House robbery
In Plantation, thugs held a domestic worker at gunpoint and covered her with a blanket before ransacking the house in broad daylight on September 12. She was busy with her regular duties when the thugs forcefully entered the house and made off with valuable items, including a TV set, DVD player and a laptop.
A gang of thugs broke into a couple’s shack in Angelo informal settlement and held the victims at gunpoint before stealing their belongings on September 13. The couple was woken up by the intruders who, after entering the shack, stole a TV set, a cellphone, clothes, car battery and other goods and loaded the loot in a wheelbarrow.
Business robbery
An employee of an estate agent was held at gunpoint at her workplace and robbed of her cellphone and jewellery, including neckless, bangle, wedding ring, and her employer’s laptop in broad daylight on September 12. The victim told police a gang of armed thugs entered the property and demanded money and her belongings. She was not hurt in during robbery.
Thieves invaded the Boksburg Kidz Clinic and stole chairs, exam pads and other items during the night of September 12.
Stolen vehicle
A Nissan NP2OO was stolen while parked in the roadside parking on Commissioner Street in the Boksburg CBD on September 13. The stolen car is insured.
Thieves stole a Brakpan woman’s black Polo while parked outside the Boksburg city stadium on September 14. The stolen car is insured.
A red Alfa Romeo was stolen from Market Street in the Boksburg CBD on September 15.
