Round Table needs support to continue helping the underprivileged

Round Table Southern Africa is a non-political, non-denominational association of young men between the ages of 18 and 40.

Round Table 17 recently visited areas in Boksburg to donate blankets and tinned food to scores of underprivileged people.

The items donated were to the value of approximately R5 000 and formed part of the Round Table’s Winter Knights Project.

In particular, Round Table offers an excellent opportunity for meeting new friends from your own community, area, country and the world. It also serves as a means for self-improvement in areas such as public speaking, leadership, project management, and meeting procedure.

Furthermore, Round Table is involved with the Santa Shoebox Project.

The shoebox initiative focuses on collecting and distributing gifts for underprivileged children throughout South Africa and Namibia.

The shoebox includes what the children need, like a toothbrush, toothpaste, facecloth, soap, age-appropriate stationery items, clothing, age-appropriate toy and sweets.

André van Vuuren from Round Table said Round Table Gauteng will also host their annual Christmas party for underprivileged children.

“Round Table Gauteng will host this festive party for well-deserving children who may not have had an opportunity to have such an event hosted for them.

“There will be entertainment for the children and we’ll also be donating food and clothes at the party. The public is more than welcome to make a contribution towards the party by donating toys,” said André.
