One resident, who wishes to remain anonymous, says there is a lot of drug activity in the area and he is concerned that the youth will deal in drugs from the court.
“Because the court is enclosed it will be easy to deal from here,” he says.
Clr Benno Robinson, who used his discretionary funds to build the court, says the supervisor of the swimming pool will also supervise the basketball court.
“We will leave the court open on a trial basis and if there are any irregularities then it will be locked and the keys will be left with the supervisor,” he adds.
