Sector One CPF takes a stand against women abuse

The crime fighters, along with about 20 members of the community, came together and took to the streets, starting at the corner of Atlas and Elizabeth roads and ending after about 1km at the corner of Leith and Elizabeth roads.

In celebration of Women’s Day, the Boksburg North Sector One CPF held a successful walk against women abuse recently.

Members of the community could also donate feminine products that will be donated to Leratang Place of Love Crisis Centre.

One of the organisers, Sector One CPF’s René Marais, described the walk as a success.

“It wasn’t a walk with six million people, but the walk served its purpose. It was a great opportunity for the community to take a stand against women abuse,” said René.

“We’re grateful to say that we received a box full of donations. We would like to thank everybody who supported us.”

Suburbs falling within the boundaries of Sector One are Atlasville, Impala Park, Witkoppie Ridge, Clearwater Estate/Lacomo Lifestyle Estate, Bartlett, Bardene, Caro Nome.
