The EMPD Specialized Services, comprising of Community Liaison and Public Order Policing Units, arrested three suspected drug dealers on Commissioner Street in Boksburg on Wednesday, July 17 for possession of crystal methamphetamine and khat valued at over R5 000.
According to chief superintendent Wilfred Kgasago, EMPD spokesperson, the arrest took place at 10am at the intersection of Bank and Commissioner streets in the Boksburg CBD.
“The trio was found in possession of a plastic bag containing khat in block form estimated at R4 000 and 10 ziplocks of crystal meth with the street value of R1 000,” said Kgasago.
The arrested trio aged 25, 32 and 43 was detained at Boksburg Central police station charged with possession and dealing in narcotics.
