Man in hot water over presumed stolen property

The suspect was found allegedly in position of a toy firearm

A 34-year-old man was arrested for possession of presumed stolen property on June 24.

According to Const Justice Ramaube, Boksburg North spokesperson, while Capt Phineas Madlala and Sgt Chris Netshidavadulu were patrolling the area they came across two men who looked suspicious on the corner of Cason and Eleven avenues in Boksburg North.

“One of the men was pushing a trolley while the other one carried a red tool box,” said Ramaube.

“When the police officers searched them they discovered one of them was allegedly in position of a toy firearm which resembled an original firearm.

“The suspect then failed to give an explanation to the officers and he was arrested.”

Ramaube said the other person wasn’t apprehended because he didn’t have anything suspicious on him.

“The arrested suspect was detained at the Boksburg North SAPS and was charged with possession of presumed stolen property and possession of a dangerous weapon,” Ramaube said.
