Countless of motor vehicles stolen in Boksburg

In one incident, an Edenvale man had his dark blue Toyota Conquest stolen while parked in Market Street, Boksburg CBD, on June 7.

• An employee of TMH Africa in Boksburg industrial sites recently had his car, a Toyota Corolla, stolen from the parking at his workplace.

Security guards reportedly saw someone driving out of the premises in the employee’s car and went inside the building to ask the owner if he had lent his car to someone else. The car is equipped with a tracking device, but is not insured.

• A resident of Witfield had her motorcycle stolen from her residential property at Ravens Rock, Transvaal Street, on June 4. It is not insured.

• In Boksburg South, thieves stole a white Citi Golf from Sunward Park Hospital on June 6. Inside the car was an HP laptop and personal documents. The car is insured and equipped with a tracking device.

• A Polokwane woman was left stranded in the Boksburg CBD after her Nissan NP200 was stolen while parked in the roadside parking in Market Street. The bakkie is insured.

• Despite all efforts to secure her car, a woman had her silver Toyota Tazz on May 30 stolen. The victim told the police that she parked her car in the Sunward Park Hospital parking area and went inside the hospital.

She made sure that the car doors were properly locked and had the gear lever locked. When she returned to the spot a few hours later, the car was gone. The car is not insured.

• A Brakpan woman was left without a car when thieves stole her white Toyota Etios while parked on Albrecht Road in Sunward Park on June 7. The car is insured and fitted with a tracking device.

• Another white Toyota Etios was stolen from Leeuwpoort Street in the Boksburg CBD on June 7. The complainant told the police that he parked the company car and went to buy something at KFC. When he returned to the spot about 10 minutes later, the car was gone. The car is insured and fitted with a tracking device.
