Cases of theft: Nowhere safe to park your vehicle

Take note that vehicles are stolen in broad daylight.

A Brakpan woman recently had her Toyota Etios, gold in colour, stole while parked in the parking lot outside Boksburg High School.

She told the police that she parked the car and went inside the school to register her child, but when she returned to the spot, the car was nowhere to be found.

* Another Toyota Etios belonging to a Sunward Park woman was stolen from the Sunward Park shopping centre on Kingfisher Avenue on May 28.

* An FNB employer had his car, a Toyota Corolla, stolen while parked outside the FNB branch on Market Street recently. The worker told the police that she parked the car and went to fix the ATM, but when he returned to the spot his car was gone.

He asked around and people, including the security there, told him that they saw nothing.

*An employee had his bosses’ bakkie, a white Hyundai H100, stolen while parked in the Sunward Park Lifestyle Centre parking lot on June 1.

The driver parked the vehicle at noon and when he returned to the spot almost an hour later the vehicle was gone.
