Joburg company donates computer to Reiger Park NPO

The local centre offers counselling and support to victims of rape, trauma, and physical and mental abuse.

Motshwanelo IT Consulting, a Johannesburg-based company, donated a desktop PC to the Reiger Park Crisis Centre on May 28.

Luzanne Swanepoel from Motshwanelo IT Consulting said: “The donation is part of our efforts as a company to give back to communities. Because I live in Reiger Park, I identified the organisation because I saw the need they have.

“The desktop PC will assist the organisation to continue making a difference in the lives of people in Reiger Park.”

Swanepoel said that they have donated desktop PCs to organisations in the North West, Gauteng and the Free State.

Expressing their gratitude for the donation, Vinny Gilchrist from the Reiger Park Crisis Centre said the donation will assist in the life skills programme they started a month ago.

“The computer will assist the children with research,” Gilchrist said.

They also offer a feeding scheme for orphans and vulnerable children, community-based care and HIV/Aids programmes.
