Tip-off leads to the arrest of suspect involved in drug peddling

Just over R100 in cash was also confiscated from the suspect.

 

A suspected drug dealer was arrested at his flat in the Boksburg CBD on n Sunday, April 14 around 11am after the EMPD Drug Enforcement  Unit members followed up on information received from a reliable source.

According to chief superintendent Wilfred Kgasago, EMPD spokesperson, khat valued at R5 000 was uncovered during the search of the suspect’s flat.

“Six knotted plastics containing khat and one medium size clear plastic also with khat were found in the flat.

“The Nigerian national was detained at Boksburg SAPS and was charged with possession and dealing in narcotics.”
