Foetus found in hole on construction site

No one has been arrested so far.

Construction workers made a grisly discovery on April 3 when they came across a foetus in Impala Park.

According to Boksburg North SAPS communications officer Const Justice Ramaube, when construction workers arrived on site on April 2, they found a hole they were supposed to work on full of water. They decided to return the next day.

“At about 9am on April 3, after the water had subsided, they discovered the foetus. They notified the police.

“For now it is not clear whether the foetus got there through a sewerage pipe or whether it was dumped by someone.”

A case of inquest has been opened at the Boksburg North SAPS and investigations are still continuing.

“We are appealing to anyone who might have any information that can lead to the arrest of a possible suspect to contact the police on 08600 10 111,” Ramaube said.
