Three injured in N12 crash
Also on Sunday morning, Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on the R21 north bound between the Nellmapius and Olifantsfontein offramp. The driver of a light motor vehicle apparently lost control resulting in a rollover.
Three people were injured when a driver of a light motor vehicle apparently drove into the back of a stationary vehicle on the N12.
According to Shawn Herbst, media liaison officer Netcare Limited, at 2.55am on Sunday, Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on the highway in the direction of Benoni in Boksburg.
“The patients were assessed on scene by advanced life support paramedics and found that two had sustained serious injuries and another moderate injuries,” said Herbst.
“Due to the nature of one of the occupants injuries, the Netcare 1 Specialised Helicopter Air Ambulance was called to the scene to airlift the seriously injured patient to hospital.
The other two patients were treated on scene and once stabilised were transported by ambulance to hospital for further treatment.”
