House robbers flee the scene with firearms and valuables

No one has been arrested and police are still investigating.

Five hunting rifles and two firearms were stolen during a house robbery in Boksburg North.

The incident took place around 5.15pm on March 16.

According to Boksburg North SAPS communications officer Const Justice Ramaube the complainant said he was sleeping and his children were in the dining room when he heard dogs barking.

“Upon investigating, the house owner came across three men with two of them wearing balaclavas. The armed men demanded the keys to the safe.”

Ramaube said they also stole a cellphone, four laptops, television LCD, wrist watch and an amount of cash.

“The family was not harmed and a case of house robbery was opened at the Boksburg North SAPS.

Police are appealing to the community for information that could lead to the arrest of the suspects to contact Boksburg North SAPS on 0860010111 or 011 8983009.
