Police nab two for possession of drugs

The seized drugs valued approximately R50 000.

Two suspects, aged 38 and 29 years, have been arrested for possession of drugs on March 15.

The Boksburg North SAPS members, together with the Anti-Gang Unit under the command of Lt Col Sipho Mathebula, embarked on an operation to tackle the problems of drugs in the area.

Boksburg North SAPS communications officer Const Justice Ramaube said: “During the operation, SAPS members pounced on two suspects dealing in drugs with the street value of approximately R50 000.

“They were detained at the Boksburg North SAPS and will appear in the Boksburg Magistrate’s Court soon on charges of possession and dealing in drugs.”
