Local SPCA receives welcome donation from Junior Academy
This wasn't the first time the school donated to the Boksburg SPCA.
Junior Academy Farrar Park, with the assistance of parents, recently donated 203kg of pet food and a variety of tinned food to the Boksburg SPCA.
Sasha Badenhorst, Junior Academy Farrar Park vice principal, said: “We recently saw on the Boksburg SPCA Facebook page that they are in dire need of pet food and as a school, we saw it fit to help out where we can.
“We then sent letters to parents for each child to bring something so we can help our furry friends,” Badenhorst said.
Badenhorst said their initial target was 200kg, but fortunately, during the course of the week, they exceeded their target.
