Family mourns the death of Charné Lesar

The funeral service will be held at the Woord en Lewe Church in Sunward Park at 1pm.

“God blessed us with a perfect daughter who was determined, disciplined and had the whole world at her feet.”

These were the words of the father of a young woman who lost her life in an accident last week.

Charné Lesar died on February 28 in a fatal crash on the corner of Van Wyk Louw and Trichardts streets.

The 22-year-old was scheduled to graduate this year in April after finishing her BCom Accounting degree at the University of North West. She was a former learner at Boksburg High School.

She started working in January at an accounting company in Bedfordview.

According to the father, Freddie, his daughter was on the way back from work when the accident occurred.

“I received a phone call from my wife to tell me that my daughter has been involved in an accident after she was alerted by members from the EMPD,” said Freddie.

“When I got there I was devastated to find that she had already died. She was so full of life. She loved animals and had such a great sense of humour.”

Freddie said as a family they are not coping since Charné’s death.

“I will miss seeing Charné in the morning, drinking her cup of tea, and going to the gym with her.

“She has left a void in our hearts, as parents we invest our time and efforts in our children to see them become happy and successful but it breaks my heart to see her life end like this.”
