Fill up today as fuel prices will sky rocket from Wednesday
Road users will have to pay at least 30 cents more for their petrol in April after the fuel tax levy was jacked up during the budget speech last month.

Motorists are reminded the petrol price will be hiked-up by the department of energy on Wednesday (March 6).
It will be the second consecutive monthly increase and the biggest one the country has faced since October 2018. Petrol UP will increase by 74 cents per litre, and diesel UP between 91 and 93 cents.
Petrol price in South Africa for March will therefore be (inland) R14.60 (petrol) and R14 (diesel).
The AA had earlier forecast a dismal March for motorists, and they’ve been proved right. To compound the extra expenses, toll fees all across the country were also impacted by a rise of almost 5 per cent on Friday.
The increase in fuel prices according to the AA is as a result of the rising international petroleum prices. The weaker local currency has also played its part.
The Department of Energy noted that the rand appreciated, on average, against the US dollar from R13.94 to R13.80 during the period under review.
Motorist also need to remember that an additional tax to the fuel price – the Carbon Tax – will come into force in June when an additional nine cents will be added to the price of petrol and an additional 10 cents will be added to the price of diesel.
The petrol price increase will come into effect from midnight on Wednesday.
