The Dawn Park SAPS encourages residents to be more vigilant during this January period due to the high rate of house robberies that are taking place in Dawn Park.
Dawn Park SAPS spokesperson Const Nkemeleng Mabula said while some community members are back at work and others are still engaged in the last minute school touch-ups, criminals are not losing sight of an unattended house.
“The incidents happen between 6am to 6pm. Keep a close eye on unknown people loitering along the streets as they might be possible criminals.
“Report cars that appear to be suspicious, especially those without a registration plate, to the police on 10111 or SMS to 32211 or call the Dawn Park SAPS on 011 862 8071/8000,” Mabula said.
