The Advertiser recently published an article in which the chairperson of the Portfolio Committee on Police, Francois Beukman, urged matriculants who are interested in a career in law enforcement to apply at their nearest police station, before January 18.
Since sharing the article, it has emerged that youngsters were shown away from the Reiger Park SAPS as there is no recruitment drive.
According to Malatswa Molepo of the Parliamentary Communication Services, it should be noted that a miscommunication has crept in and that this drive only applies to the Western Cape.
