A fun Christmas for Zandi’s Angels

EnviroServ has been involved with the home since 2012.

Staff from EnviroServ spoilt the children of Zandi’s Angels orphanage for Christmas.

The children and staff received MacDonald’s meals, ice cream and gifts. They also had their faces painted and the day was filled with fun, laughter and spoils.

In 2013, EnviroServ established a trust called EnviroServ Social Investment and started looking for a suitable house that could accommodate the children and their needs sufficiently.

Alisa Bleisch painted the children’s faces in bright colours and fun patterns.

Once a suitable house was identified, all the necessary legal steps were taken to ensure compliance and construction commenced.

The children moved in on December 20, 2013, and the house was officially handed over on March 7, 2014.

The couple, Captain Phineas Madlala and Zandi Madlala were the founders of the home, which is named after Zandile who herself was an orphan and the couple devoted their efforts in taking care of the children in need.

There are 12 girls and six boys currently in the home and there are three full-time caregivers that generously and lovingly give up their time to take care of the children and living there – Ncamisile Sithole, Thokozile Sibiya and Zandile Madlala.

The caretakers received training to ensure that they are equipped to cater to the children’s needs.
