Rotarians receive a bunch of mugs for their quiz efforts

When the team received their prizes they found they had each won two nice coffee mugs.

President Derek Fox from Rotary Club Boksburg lead a local team to participate in a quiz evening, hosted by Rotary president, Robin Bath, from Rotary Club Benoni van Ryn recently.

The Boksburg team has never really been known to be one of the brighter competing teams.

Since the recent induction of two new members, Derek’s club found that things have substantially changed.

Between St Dominic’s headmistress, Sharon Fitzgerald, and business lecturer Dr George Hove there has been an upward surge in the academic field, according to Fox.

Accordingly, the team enrolled for the competition under the name of “Boksburg’s Brights”.

It was not much of a surprise when the team ended up third in the competition, with substantial help from their supporters.

The decision was taken then and there that the team’s name had to be changed and they became “A Bunch Of Mugs”.
