Monte Christo Boulevard residents awoken by intruders

The damage is estimated at R500 000.

A house robbery took place in Monte Christo Boulevard in North Rand Road.

This was confirmed by Sgt Fina Matwetja from the Boksburg North SAPS.

“On December 6 at about 2.30am, the complainant and his wife were woken by two men shining torches in their faces and pointing firearms at them,” said Matwetja.

The victims were instructed to lie on their stomachs and their hands and feet were tied up with wire.

“Suspects ransacked the house. All role players were on scene. No shots were fired and no one was seriously injured.”

The case is under investigation.
