Suspected dagga dealer arrested in Joe Slovo

The arrested suspect was detained at Reiger Park police station.

 

The EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit arrested a man suspected of dealing in narcotics and dagga at Joe Slovo informal settlement situated near Reiger Park around 11.45am on Tuesday, November 6.

Chief Superintendent Wilfred Kgasago, EMPD spokesperson, said the arrest was effected during a morning operation after the metro police had been tipped off.

He said the man (30) was found in possession of three full mandrax tables, 26 half mandrax tablets, 25 fingers of dagga as well as some loose dagga estimated to be worth R3000 in the streets.

“He was charged with possession and dealing in illicit substances and is expected to appear in the Boksburg Magistrate’s Court soon.”
