A man was killed during a business robbery in Witfield on October 21.
Communications officer at Boksburg North SAPS Capt Juanita Coetzer sad the owner was working in his shop when three men entered the premises at about 11.30am.
“One of the men pointed a firearm at the shop owner. He resisted and was shot in the upper body,” said Coetzer.
“Another man entered the shop to assist the owner, but he was fatally wounded, shot in his upper body.
“The shop owner was transported to Tambo Memorial Hospital. The other man was declared dead on the scene by the paramedics.”
An investigation is underway.
