Man shot dead in his car in Boksburg central

The bakkie, a Hyundai H100, was riddled with bullet holes.

A Zimbabwean man was shot and killed while in his vehicle in what appears to be a robbery on the corner of Trichardts Road and Railway Street on October 7.

According to Boksburg SAPS spokesperson Const Ntsako Ledwaba, police responded to the complaint of a shooting in the area at about 2.30am and found the man inside his bakkie with multiple gunshot wounds.

The motive for the killing remains unclear, but it is believed that the man was shot by two men, who police described as African males driving in a white bakkie, and they made off with the victim’s cellphone and wallet.
