DJ Shimza brings the house down at Spring Fiesta

International headliners included Lars Behrenroth and Charles Webster.

Dance music gem DJ Shimza brought the house down at the 2018 Springs Fiesta at Wild Waters, with his beat combinations sparking delirium among jollers at the main stage on October 6.

Joining Shimza on the main stage was Afrotainment, led by DJ Tira and his crew, who kept the crowd glued with their Durban-flavoured dance moves.

Other A-listers who featured on the main stage were songbird Lady Zamar, AKA, Prince Kaybee and Heavy K, just to list a few.

An exciting change to the event saw the hip-hop floor, which was given a new name, In the Trap, hosted by Da Les.

PR manager Sheree O’Brien said: “We are very happy with the outcome for Spring Fiesta 2018. We had perfect weather and the production elements came together beautifully to create an amazing experience. See you next year Fiesta freaks.”

The annual event, also known as Dance Culture’s National Holiday, returned for its eighth year and promised fans more surprises and changes.

Other acts included Okmalumkoolkat, Lulo Café, MFR Souls, Sun El Musician, Ralf Gum, DJ Clock, Rock Da Shades Dj’z, DJ Christos and Vinny Da Vinci, to name a few.

The crowd enjoys the Spring Fiesta.

Ekurhuleni spokesperson Themba Gadebe said the fiesta is one of the signature events that seeks to promote tourism and goes a long way in building the brand of Ekurhuleni as a place to live, work and enjoy leisure.

“Beyond that, this event unites all our people as a social cohesion programme.”
