Desperate Villa Liza man’s house rebuild as a demonstration of love

The man's entire house burnt down.

An NPO called Demonstrated Love Foundation, which runs as a ministry, recently turned a Villa Liza resident’s tragic tale into a story of hope.

According to Francois de Jager, chairperson of the NPO, they heard about the man whose entire house burnt down as an act of violence in Villa Liza.

“We saw the need and we immediately reacted, since he lost everything and only had the clothes left he had on that day. The project was dubbed Simon’s House Project,” said de Jager.

“Together with almost 26 volunteers we rebuilt his house, painted it and also supplied him with furniture and even more than what he had lost.

“We thank every volunteer as well as every company and everyone else who donated supplies and furniture.

“Together we can make a difference in the lives of people wherever we go and wherever we see the need,” said de Jager.
