An Angelo resident made a grisly discovery on September 15, coming across five bodies at an open field near the squatter camp.
SAPS spokesperson Captain Kay Makhubela said the police were called at about 1pm. Upon arrival on the scene, they found five male bodies.
“It is alleged that the bodies were brought out from the old mine and dumped next to the squatter camp. The cause of death is not yet known.”
Makhubela said five inquest dockets have been opened at the Boksburg SAPS.
Police are calling for anybody who might have information to call their nearest police station or call 0860 010 111.
