Donate a dress for a good cause
Collection of dresses forms part of the Feel like a Princess campaign.

Boksburg resident Tammy Harding and her team will be collecting dresses – if it be a dress for a matric farewell, evening wear or a wedding – for people living with fibromyalgia.
Fibromyalgia is a disorder characterised by widespread musculoskeletal pain accompanied by fatigue, sleep, memory and mood issues.
Harding was diagnosed with the illness at the age of 23 years and she said it has been very difficult to manage as it comes with a lot of stress.
“I had a heart attack with the birth of my baby because I had to stop taking my medication while pregnant. It is genetic, my mother is also diagnosed with it. It’s really a roller coaster ride that I wish on no one.
“I have been sick for two years again. Due to this reason, I won’t be able to go back into the ‘normal’ workspace very soon, so have decided to raise awareness and funds for those suffering due to the illness.”
Harding said they have started asking local businesses and schools to help them collect the dresses.
Harding and her team will be hosting a fund-raising ball in May next year on National Fibromyalgia Awareness Day on May 12.
“We will auction dresses off at this event as well as dress a few ill people up and spoil them for the night.
“However, depending on the success and number of dresses collected, we would like to have monthly sales of dresses each month at various spots.
“All dresses will be sold for R300 and a percentage of sales will be donated to someone that is ill and cannot work,” Harding said.
