Grade Eight to 11 learners from different CBC schools paid a visit to Balmoral College in Boksburg on July 27.

CBC provided a warm meal for about 150 learners of Balmoral who are on their feeding scheme.

This project forms part of CBC winter festival where all Christian Brother associated schools of South Africa take part.

“All the representatives of the preparatory schools gathered together for outreach and advocacy. It is a celebration of work in the communities, sharing strength and power,” said Darren Flood, CBC Boksburg.

Matie Wium, the principal of Balmoral College, said: “The interaction between schools and hungry children being fed is priceless. It also strengthened cultural connections between Catholic schools and Christian schools.”

CBC did not only provide a delicious meal but also gifts, including caps, rulers, pens, erasers and pencils.

The Balmoral senior choir, conducted by Róan Halgryn, entertained the guests after everyone received a hot meal.
