Boksburg residents donate medals to worthy cause

Caxton urges anyone who might have old medals to donate them to this worthy cause.

The first bunch of medals and trophies donated by Boksburg residents were recently delivered to Dr Leonel Paulo de Caires parents, Fatima and Miguel de Caires.

Fatima thanked everyone for their donations and support. She said the medals will be donated to various hospitals in Johannesburg due to the high influx of medals in Cape Town.

The doctor, who hails from Boksburg and is working in Cape Town, is collecting old medals which will be used as ‘bravery’ rewards for children after they have had their operations.

Caxton has since came on board to support this great initiative as part of its care campaign.

Drop-off points are at the Boksburg Advertiser, 20 Sydney Road, Ravenswood, and the LALT Theatre House, 20 Barlett Road, Beyers Park.
