A 25-year-old man was arrested on Monday, June 18 for possession of a stolen motor vehicle.
Dawn Park SAPS spokesperson Constable Nkemeleng Mabula said police officers were informed by a community member who was suspicious of a vehicle parked at Marula Street in Van Dyk Park.
“Police proceeded to Van Dyk Park and on arrival found a gold Toyota Atios with the suspect inside. ”
“An inquiry was made with the vehicles registration plate and it was found that the vehicle was reported stolen in Boksburg,” Mabula said.
The suspect was arrested and detained at the Dawn Park SAPS and will appear in the Boksburg Magistrate’s Court soon.
