Let’s talk business
Over 200 entrepreneurs and top business minds recently gathered at a glitzy business networking function at Hirsch's Fourways, coordinated by the company’s Boksburg division’s PRO, Brigitte Thysse.
The aim of the event was to inspire business women from all sectors to achieve great success.
Business Woman of the Year 2012 (entrepreneur) Margaret Hirsch, and advisor to CEO’s of major corporations around the world John Beyers McDermott, shared their knowledge and experience.
Themed as “Masked Ball”, guests were encouraged to wear a mask upon arrival, emphasising and highlighting the idea to business women that, in order to succeed in business, it is necessary to unmask their business potential by focusing on the ability to sell themselves in the business world.
To add extra sparkle to the evening, South African representative dancers from Paul and Sandy’s Dance Studio, in Atlasville, showed off their internationally acclaimed moves with a breath-taking interpretation of the Ramba, Cha-Cha, Samba and Jive.
After the inspiring talks by the two guest speakers, and hip-swaying entertainment, it was time to get down to the networking slot of the evening.
The room was abuzz as attendants made a great effort to introduce themselves to as many other professionals as possible, while exchanging business cards and potential synergies.
“What a fantastic evening; not only did I learn so much from the guest speakers, I met some amazing business-minded people and was blown away by the incredibly talented dancers,” said Linda Bogma, one of guests at the event.
