Watch: Power of prayer makes its way up Rietfontein Road
Over 1 000 small Bibles were handed out during this powerful two-kilometre walk, during which participants prayed for peace and prosperity.
Rietfontein Road was filled with happy feet and joyous music on March 4 as locals participated in another Walk 4 Jesus event.
After gathering in the hall of Laerskool Concordia, saying a prayer and welcoming everyone, young and old, in bright clothing and sneakers, started singing, praying and rejoicing as they proceeded to walk down Rietfontein Road towards the East Rand Mall and back again.
The group was supported and assisted by the EMPD who escorted the parade to ensure everyone’s safety.
“The Walk 4 Jesus is taking place at various other locations across South Africa today and this is the 24th event on the East Rand,” said Ronel Mocke, organiser of the East Rand walk.
