‘Drug dealer’ bust following tip-off

The war against drugs in Boksburg continues

A tip-off led to the arrest of an alleged drug dealer in Witfield on Sunday, February 11.

The EMPD K9 Unit responded to the tip-off, which included details about how the alleged dagga dealer operated, the type of clients he sold to, and even what his operating times were.

Reacting quickly, the K9 Unit members raided a house in Edward Street where seven kilograms of dagga in ziplock bags was found in a cupboard.

A male tenant (25) of the house was arrested and detained at Boksburg North Police Station on charges of possessing and dealing in dagga.

He was scheduled to appear in the Boksburg Magistrate’s Court yesterday (February 12).
