Mom and kids injured as window shatters at mall
ER24 responded to East Point Shopping Centre just before 5:30pm yesterday after a window at the centre shattered, apparently due to the weather, and injured shoppers, including a mom and her two sons.

According to Clair Wolstencroft, ER24 spokesperson, the details she received on scene were that the wind had blown trolleys into the window, causing it to shatter and smash glass onto the ground.
“We are not sure how many people were injured in the process as some had reportedly already left by the time we arrived on scene,” Wolstencroft said.

“However, three patients – a mom and her two boys, aged about seven and 10, were treated, initially by a doctor in the doctor’s rooms at the shopping centre, and then transported by ER24 to Tambo Memorial Hospital for further treatment.”
