Christmas cheer for elderly at Stretlizia

Strelitzia Service Centre in Boksburg North held a Christmas lunch for the elderly on December 8 in a beautifully decorated hall.

An opening Bible reading was done by Pastor Tieki Cilliers, after which “The Old Toppies” live band entertained the elderly with their music.

The volunteers who helped at the Strelitzia Service Centre lunch were thanked with gifts.

Rika Crous, manager of the service centre, thanked everyone for their support throughout the year.

“I would particularly like to thank some of the donors who assisted us in making this Christmas lunch possible – Mr and Mrs Cik donated meat, Eric Hamilton from Vegeworth donated salads and Rosa Herst donated water.

“Many thanks also to our volunteers for all their help,” Crous said.
