Murder
* The body of a man, identified as Emmanuel Mntungwa, was found in Angelo informal settlement with the lips and eyes missing in what is suspected to be ritualistic murder.
“The body was found at about 6pm on Friday, November 24. The back of the head and upper elbow had deep open wounds.
“Evidence indicates that the man could have been killed just a few hours before his body was discovered,” said Boksburg SAPS spokesperson Sgt Cebisa Maseko.
This is not the first body to be found with missing parts in Angelo. The body of a man, identified as a Lesotho national, was found mutilated about a week before the latest discovery.
*A man was arrested after he allegedly stabbed another man to death in a tavern at the Cinderella Hostel during the early hours of Saturday, November 25. The victim, identified as Chumani Gedezana, died on the scene after being stabbed in the neck.
The suspect has been charged with murder.
Attempted murder
A man is fighting for his life in Tambo Memorial Hospital after he was shot twice in the head in Angelo informal settlement at about 11.30pm on Saturday, November 25.
The victim told the police that he was confronted by a group of heavily armed men who demanded his personal belongings and shot him before fleeing the scene.
