The charges against Alfred Jan Bezuidenhout (57) arise from an incident which took place in Mapleton on November 26 last year, during which a cattle herder, Bisani Tshululo, was shot and killed.
Bezuidenhout first appeared in court on July 3 and has not yet been asked to plead.
The case was postponed to February 2 for trial proceedings.
