The same police station also destroyed about 2 000 litres of confiscated alcohol in its storage facility early in September.
According to the Reiger Park SAPS spokesperson, Sgt Mashudu Phathela, since the previous destruction of booze, they have again confiscated more than 85 crates of alcohol, consisting of beer, spirits and hard cider.

The cache had almost filled the police station storage facility to capacity before management decided to dispose of it by pouring it down the drain.
Phathela said blitzing illegal shebeens in their precinct is part of their efforts to make the communities a safer place.
Alcohol is seen as the largest contributing factor to anti-social behaviour and other crimes, including domestic violence and assault, Phathela said.
