Germburg Rangers receive awards for their hard work

The Germburg Ranger Crew, a combined unit of girls from the Boksburg and Germiston Girl Guides, were recently awarded badges for their hard work in the team.

Faith Makhathini, who is the newest member, was sworn in and enrolled as a Ranger. Jenna-Lisa da Camara was awarded her level three camp permit.

Bongi Zondo received her Diamond Award, while Megan Bainton, Angela Murphy, Darian Bainton and Moyahabo Masipa were each received their Protea Award, the highest award achievable in Guiding.

Along with their Protea awards, the four girls also achieved their Adult Leaders Qualification.

Girl Guides is an non-profit organisation that empowers girls and women to reach their fullest potential and become responsible citizens through a dynamic programme.

The aim of Girl Guides is to nurture young women to develop core manners, values and morals so as to become good community leaders of the future.
