This is according to Ward 22 councillor Ruhan Robinson.
“The water leaks in Lorna Road were reported to the metro when they were first spotted in early July, but municipal workers only repaired them about two weeks ago,” said Robinson.
After about four months of no joy from the metro, and armed with several reference numbers, Robinson approached the Advertiser for help.

The Advertiser reported on the issue in the newspaper, stating that Robinson and business people in the area had contacted the metro multiple times in an attempt to have the leaks repaired, but to no avail.
Robinson said although he is now pleased the problem has finally been resolved, he and the residents of the area, which is home to large industries, were upset about the waste of water, especially after the metro asked residents to use water sparingly because the country is facing water shortages.
The leaks were caused by a damaged water meter located on the side of the road and ageing water pipes.
The Advertiser is still awaiting comment from the metro on the water leaks in Lorna Road. -@FanieFLK
