I’m glad we met by accident

Duncan Friedrichs writes:

I am writing to thank an incredibly kind motorist who assisted me when I had an accident in my Citroen C3 on the Campbell Road bridge at about 11.30am on Thursday, October 5.

It was raining and the road surface was oily and extremely slippery. The car in front of me braked and went into an uncontrollable skid. In trying to avoid a collision, I also braked, went into a skid and hit the pavement.

My front wheel was so badly damaged that I couldn’t move my car out of the way of other skidding cars! It was then that this kind gentleman stopped his company bakkie and offered to help me.

He helped to slow the traffic down, standing in the pouring rain, so that others didn’t skid and so that the tow truck could move my car out of the way.

I never got a chance to thank him, but I want him to know how immensely grateful I am for his help.

People like that make the world a better place to live in! I pray that he be richly blessed in his life.

Thank you also to Jurgerley of First Road Towing for his kind and efficient service.
