The mall challenged residents to enter their favourite recipes and the seven best recipes were entered into the cook-off.

The winner of the cook-off will be announced at the next Lakeside Mall ladies night, to be held on August 1.

The winner will receive prizes from the mall, as well as a home-cooked meal for six people, prepared by chef Lesley Walker.

Chef Walker will cook the meal at the winner’s home.

All recipes will be added to the “Seasoned with Love” cook book, which will be sold and the proceeds donated to the “Feed the Children” project.
